Meals are served on the school premises by the catering staff from 12:00noon.
The meals are nutritionally balanced, well prepared and cost £10.00 per week. A vegetarian option is always available.
Payment for school meals for the week is due on a Monday morning. Dinner money should be sent in a sealed envelope with your child’s name and class written on the front. If you wish you can pay by cheque either weekly, monthly or per half term. Please make cheques payable to ‘Derby City Council’.
If you are in receipt of Income Support or certain benefits, you may be eligible to claim for free school meals for your child. Application forms and advice are available from the school office or the Free Meals Team at Derby City Council.

Those pupil’s who wish to, may bring packed lunches instead of having a school meal. Please make sure that your child’s lunchbox has their name written on. We ask that drinks should be sent in unbreakable containers.
Should you wish to alter the arrangements made for your child at lunchtime, ie change from a packed lunch to a school meal (or vice-versa), one week’s written notice is required. Please write a letter marked for the attention of the School Office.
Snacks and Sweets
We encourage our pupils to eat sensibly and to care for their teeth. For this reason, children are not allowed to bring sweets or chocolate to eat in school.
All pupils in the Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1 are given free fruit each day. The Early Years Unit children are also given a carton of milk with their fruit.
Key Stage 2 pupils may bring fruit to eat during break times.
